Canandaigua City Schools

Canandaigua City School District is located at 143 North Pearl Street Canandaigua, NY and provides education to grades PK-12 in Ontario County. The district is grateful that the community's support for its public schools is stronger than ever today.
The Canandaigua City School District’s reputation for academic, athletic and artistic excellence is made possible by its strong connection with the community. We're proud of a 215-year history of education in Canandaigua. In 1994, the Canandaigua City School District Board of Education established the Canandaigua Academy Graduates of Distinction program, designed to recognize distinguished lifetime achievement by graduates of Canandaigua Academy.

In Canandaigua, the curriculum is systematically mapped and reviewed to ensure it meets the developing needs of our pupils. The character education principles are stranded into the curriculum at each grade level. The educational program includes extensive technology use, with Internet access for all classrooms and a wide range of technology course offerings, particularly at Canandaigua Academy.

The Canandaigua community is invited to nominate persons deserving of this high honor. Sixty-four honorees have been inducted in the first twelve years of the program. Their plaques hang in the main corridor at Canandaigua Academy.
