Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Schools

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is located at 50 Cypress Drive Scotia, NY Serving grades K-12. The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District creates an educational environment that ensures opportunities for learning, personal growth and social responsibility. This New York Public School District is one of the top performing school districts in the Greater Capital Region of New York State.

The PTAs in the schools provide so many services that it would be impossible to list them all. PTA members recruit and coordinate volunteers, provide enrichment opportunities, raise money for many worthy projects, keep parents informed through school newsletters, publish student writing, sponsor parent education activities, help orient incoming pupils and parents, provide refreshments at meetings, and assist staff members in a multitude of ways.

The District has a more than 90 years history of stability and excellence in education and of residents and staff working together. In fact, the district began when local residents grew tired of paying tuition and railroad fares for their children to attend high schools in nearby towns and decided to build their own high school.

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake community lies in a suburban and rural area of southern Saratoga County and northern Schenectady County, New York. It encompasses approximately 40 square miles and includes most of the town of Ballston, as well as parts of the towns of Charlton, Clifton Park, and Glenville.
