P.S. 11 William T. Harris School is committed to a philosophy of inclusion, learner-centered principles and shared governance. The school community places great emphasis on teaching students to think, experiment, collaborate, and access information while focusing on reading, creative writing and expressive language. Students continue their learning through participation in a variety of after school clubs and activities that include drama, chess, other languages, intramurals, and student council. A school-wide program of Pro-Social Skills fosters relationships of trust and respect. P.S. 11 William T. Harris School encourages parents to become involved in our numerous school committees that address school improvement issues. Success would not be possible without the support of our community. Educational programs and services are designed to meet the varying needs of all students and will not discriminate against any individual for reasons of race, creed, color, gender, national origin, economic status or handicap.
