Pennington School has received recognition as a New York State School of Excellence. The School staff is dedicated to its educational mission of providing quality instruction which enhances the academic and social development of all its students. With cooperation and parental involvement, the Pennington children are guided both at home and then in the classroom, under the direction of a dedicated faculty of 30 teachers and a support staff that includes a school psychologist, social worker, school nurse, speech clinician, and a resource room teacher.
The staff are always striving to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of early adolescents, teams work closely with students, providing them appropriate support and a nurturing environment in which to grow. The Office of Curriculum and Staff Development supports and advocates for high quality, professional opportunities for our faculty and staff to continue to develop the learners. Additional responsibilities include overseeing all components of a quality district-wide curriculum, the New York State assessment and reporting requirements, and the management of federal and state grants.
