Paul J. Bellew Elementary School students are taught phonetic awareness, alphabet recognition and vocabulary development. They are read to and taught communication skills through peer to peer problem solving. Music and movement are an integral part of the curriculum. Teachers work to ensure that each child acquires the skills to find math success throughout their life, so math is used daily. You will see that the Paul J. Bellew Elementary community is very active working with all children to provide a foundation for students to reach their maximum potential through exact standards to opportunities to allow children to be independent thinkers, problem solvers, and responsible citizens. Paul J. Bellew works to provide a safe and caring learning environment for every student, so they can learn and grow during their school years in the classroom and out side the school as well.
