Millard Fillmore Elementary School is located at 24 South Main Street Moravia, NY. This is the only elementary school in the Moravia Central School District providing an education for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The Millard Fillmore Elementary School agrees with the same motto upheld by the district, which is to promote the growth of each student through their own talent, confidence, and pride in a learning environment where each person can grow skills and attitudes to become understanding, responsible, and productive citizens in a changing world. This school district includes the birthplace and historic boyhood home of Millard Fillmore, the 13th President of the United States.
Around the area there are a number of institutions of higher education, including several community colleges, SUNY Cortland, Syracuse University, Cornell University, SUNY Binghamton, Wells College, Ithaca College, and LeMoyne College. Teachers at Millard Fillmore Elementary School work to create an educational atmosphere in which each student is provided with the opportunity to realize their full potential as students, athletes, artists, musicians, and individuals through personal attention and encouragement. The districts curriculum has been developed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students and keep them up to State standards of learning.
