Maud S. Sherwood Elementary School curriculum is focused on the development of literacy that includes reading, writing, speaking, listening, and technology. Classrooms are alive with activity that promotes these academic skills while embedding the content areas of Science and Socials Studies. Math is taught very explicitly through Everyday Mathematics, a program that encourages skill and strategy development. The staff and teachers want the best for each student and strive to work with each and every student on an individual level to ensure that they are achieving the best education available within their talents and abilities. A talented and experienced faculty, average class sizes, educational technology, and the support and financial commitment of the community insure that each student receives the guidance and resources he or she needs to achieve success.
